Realdolmen, an ICT company based in Belgium, part of the Inetum group.
I joined Realdolmen during the Covid-19 pandemic as a Software Engineer with a main focus on Java.
I had a main client, FPS Mobility and Transport. For them, I maintained, upgraded and did custom development on different products.
The main products where Mercurius, which is the single authentic source of Belgian driver licences and PersoPlate, which
is the application a citizen can use to reserve customized licence plates for Belgian cars.
Juvo, a professional services company specialized in data
productivity improvement projects who result in better insight & decision making for their
customers.
Under Juvo, I am sent to client projects as a Java Consultant. I work together with Juvo as
well as external coworkers
in order to build quality programs.
ThreeAndMore Is a a fresh Belgian startup located in the heart
of my hometown, Antwerp. From here I step in the shoes of our own users
in order to assure a quality delivery, being an innovative community platform. The
platform's goal is to make the daily management of any kind of community simple and
enjoyable.
Not only for the community managers, but also for all of its' members. I'm targeting an
outstanding end user experience by seeking and reporting bugs, suggesting improvements,
adding
ideas to our already crammed list of ideas,...
Besides all that I am given the opportunity to do some research on topics like mobile
development, Google Analytics and other new technologies. I'm working with an awesome
team
of motivated people. They are always there to answer any of my questions.
I get a good insight in our dev projects, every now and then I get to fix a few bugs and add
a few features.
Since this community project is aiming to be available on as much platforms as possible, I
get the chance to test and develop a website, iOS app, Android app, Windows app using cutting-edge technologies.
As I really love Java as a programming language, I have been working on several Java
applications and projects.
This time around I thought I could do something different, I was going to start writing my
own
Java library. I wanted to include often used bits of code to simplify Java programming all
around.
Every now and then I add a feature to the library, I also build a jar artifact so I can use
the library in any project.
While writing the utilities library I was thinking I should share my work, so others could
make good use of it. I do add copyright notices to every class, since I think it's still my
work.
I have quite a list of ideas to add to the library, so updates should pop up every now and
then.

Website and iPhone app Testing
As a hobby, I started doing small programming jobs and website/iPhone app testing Gigs on
Fiverr.
This was my first real testing experience I had while still being a student.
It opened my eyes in terms of how important good (textual) communication is in online
businesses.
Thanks to my experience on Fiverr I also learned to make extensive use of templates and to
iterate
work in a same matter. I worked with a vast variety of people from all over the world.
